Disaster Recovery Plan
What do you do when your organizations’ building has been flooded or the building has burned down? If you have a Business Continuity Plan put together you probably are starting on you check list. Item One: Get day to day business started again in new location. Item two: Buy furniture for the new place. Item three: Buy computers and servers and get data restored according to our IT Disaster Recovery Plan. This is obviously and extreme case but not uncommon. Your organization needs to be able to exercise its IT Disaster Recovery Plan at a moment’s notice. Rather it is an extreme case or a virus infection to a security breach, the IT Disaster Recovery Plan needs to be in place and tested frequently.
